In 1989, I took a leap of faith and left my job with AT&T Communications to pursue a career as an Interior Consultant. My first experience was working as an Assistant to a Designer at a popular retail store. From day one I was thirsty for knowledge, and learned a lot. It was during that time that I also discovered how I would approach design differently. Instead of encouraging clients to start a project with a blank slate, I would specialize in helping them incorporate meaningful pieces that had been collected through the years.
Designing three Mexican Restaurants, and a Pediatric Dental Office from construction to completion got me on my feet, and word of mouth built my business from there. In between raising two boys and caring for aging parents in more recent years, this has been a hobby, and my passion. I continue to be inspired to style spaces that ground us in who we are, so that we can live our best life when we go into the world each day and return home.
Introductory Rate: $50 per hour.
